About the Community

Elliot Lake offers a unique blend of affordability and natural beauty, making it an ideal place to call home. With lower living costs compared to larger cities, you will enjoy more affordable housing and a relaxed lifestyle. Surrounded by pristine forests, sparkling lakes, and scenic trails, outdoor enthusiasts have endless opportunities for hiking, fishing, and wildlife spotting. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or an active, nature-filled lifestyle, Elliot Lake provides the perfect balance of tranquility and adventure.

CCEA promotes relationships of respect, understanding and reconciliation between Indigenous and non-indigenous people. In Elliot Lake, we are grateful to work on the Three Fires Confederacy, Potowatmi- The Keepers of the Sacred Fire, Odawa - Providers of the Hunt and Trade, and Anishnawbe - Protectors and Preservers of the Sacred Teachings. The treaty that governs relations in Elliot Lake is the Robinson-Huron treaty, a peace agreement negotiated between the Confederacies.
