At the Counselling Centre of East Algoma, our Sexual Assault Centre Services provide free, confidential, and survivor-centered support for individuals who have experienced sexual violence or human trafficking. We believe that healing looks different for everyone, and we are committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where individuals can access support at their own pace.
How We Can Help
Our team provides a range of supports designed to meet individuals where they are in their healing journey, including:
One-on-one counselling
Group counselling opportunities
Crisis intervention and emotional support
Human trafficking support services
Community outreach and public education
Referrals and connections to additional resources
All services are confidential, culturally responsive, and focused on supporting each person's unique needs and goals.
Who Can Access Services?
Services are available to:
Individuals aged 16 years and older who have experienced sexual violence or human trafficking
Family members, non-offending partners, and supportive friends seeking information and support
All services are provided free of charge.
Accessing Support
Reaching out can feel difficult, but you do not have to navigate this alone.
No referral is required. Support can be accessed in the way that feels most comfortable for you. Individuals can complete an online intake through our website or contact our office directly to learn more about available services.
