Preventing Gender Based Violence
The Counselling Centre of East Algoma's Gender-Based Violence Specialist provides education, awareness, and prevention programming for individuals, groups, workplaces, schools, and communities throughout East Algoma.
Through our Voices Against Violence Education Series, participants gain knowledge and practical tools to understand gender-based violence better, recognize unhealthy and abusive behaviours, and promote healthy, respectful relationships.
Presentations are tailored to meet the needs of diverse audiences and may explore topics such as healthy relationships, consent, digital violence, warning signs of abuse, bystander awareness, coercive control, and supporting those impacted by violence.
By fostering awareness, encouraging meaningful conversations, and challenging harmful attitudes and behaviours, Voices Against Violence helps create safer, more informed, and more connected communities.
