Certificate in Counselling Skills
This is a one year part-time course taking place over three ten week terms at a total cost of £950.00. The next Course begins in September 2008.
This Course covers the development and understanding of listening skills, developmental theory and psychodynamic counselling concepts.
The Course is held on Tuesday evenings from 7.00 pm to 10.15 pm in Wokingham. Each evening starts with a Seminar. There is then a short coffee break, followed by focused group work for the remainder of the evening.
In addition to this there are three Saturday Workshops and some written work that is required to be submitted for assessment.
This Course opens the door to further Diploma level training and also provides professional development for those working with people and in related areas. It aims to teach effective listening and counselling skills through experiential learning and provide a basic understanding of psychological development and the opportunity for development of self awareness.
