cornerstone-croppedBerkshire Counselling Centre, (BCC) established in 1987, is an affiliation of WPF Therapy; through this network we are part of the largest charitable provider of counselling in England.

We are members of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and are dedicated to providing counselling to the community. We believe that counselling is about helping people work towards outcomes that may make valuable differences to individuals. Counselling at our centre is based on the psychodynamic approach which is based on the principle that events and relationships from our past may influence and impact on how we feel about ourselves and relate to others in the present. By working through our past and our present in counselling we can begin to understand events and implement change.

We are also committed to the continuous professional development of counsellors. Our training programmes include an Introduction to Counselling as well as our Certificate in Counselling. We also run numerous workshops and seminars which are documented as valid criteria for CPD.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide high quality affordable counselling to the adult community. We aim to support people seeking our help with emotional or psychological issues which may be affecting their lives. We do this through the therapeutic relationship, and by helping the individual understand and discover the changes they can make within themselves and within their various relationships. This will take place within a safe and confidential environment and in accordance with the BACP ethical framework.
